Smokers have a higher risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Smoking causes:
Decreases in good cholesterol
Increases in blood pressure
Increases likelihood of blood clots
Difficulty to exercise
How can I quit?
Set a quit date
Choose a method
Reduce the number of cigarettes smoked
Smoke only part of each cigarette
Decide if you need medications to help you quit
Talk to the educators or your provider at RVHDC
Plan for your Quit Day
